naka water sprayer pa din kami eh.. nope ok naman sa akin.. usually kasi wipes muna kami.. isang pc lang ng wipe tapos cotton balls na binasa ng water from the sprayer...cotton ball with a little soap and then punas uli ng wet cotton ball ang finale..spray spray pa din.

siguro pang infant lang..iba na din kasi klase ng poop pag nag solids na di ba? so kailangang umaatikabong wash ng maraming tubig so mas ok pag toddler sa faucet na?

nag start na si yaya mag wash sa faucet yesterday..pero i have yet to see kasi nasa office ako..haaaayyy..im missing  a lot

i tried potty training my baby when she was 1 yr and 6 months. it wasn't successful. then when she was 2 yrs old, nagkusa na sya. but i read somewhere that it will help if you monitor her. like ask if she wants to go to the bathroom to make wee wee - in a constant interval. with regards naman to poo poo. usually same time of the day yun, unless may nakain sila na hindi usually kinakain and it will cause the delay/advance of their poo poo.

May 3.5 year old boy was semi potty trained na at age 2.5.  He knows to pee alone on his potty.  At night, he wakes us up when he needs to. The problem is until now, he doesn't want to poop on the bowl.  He just stands and poop anywhere in the house and call us if he's done.  He doesn't wants us to see him poop.  Parang nahihiya at umuurong ang poopoo kapag nababati.   :(

^ Sis, I started potty-training when my kids were around 2 1/2 years old.  2 years, 10 months na sila now, hindi pa rin fully potty-trained but we're getting there. ;D

Yesterday, they didn't wear diapers when they took an afternoon nap.  Pagkagising nila, dry pa rin ang nappies. ;)  May accidents pa rin though kasi hindi sila nagsasabi sa new yaya (hindi nila type si Yaya 2). :(

we tried to start potty training my 23-month old baby about 2 weeks ago pero we had to stop. for about some time, my baby would sit on the toilet when pooping but then one day, she heard her poopie make a plop sound and saw it, she got scared. now she won't even go near the toilet anymore.  :'(

^^^my daughter started at around 1.5yo. it was her initiative since she's the one who kept removing her nappies. but like marose's kids, she's not yet fully potty trained until now. she has issues with doing poop (constipated ever since) and she refuses to poop in the potty. eh since it's harder to clean panties, i'd put a nappy on her if she needs to do number 2.

and oh when we go out, depending on the place we're going, i still let her wear a nappy. minsan kasi you're not sure how clean the CRs are. though i bring potty liners.

My mom trained us four children as young as six months. Shes a superwoman. As in hindi na kami ng ddiaper ang galing. Sadly i can't do that that to my 2and a half year old.  Pinapagalitan lang ako ng nanay ko. hahha.

Ngayon mgppreshcool na siya i have to train him to use potty na. Gr.

I don't know how long this will take. Sana ma train na siya SOON.

Ako naman, I did not force my sons to wear briefs when they weren't ready.  I gently encouraged them by getting cute Thomas & Friends, animal prints, car prints na briefs from Mothercare.

Nowadays, we have nappy-free days.  Woohoo!  My boys wear diapers during night time (I don't want accidents on their bed, lest their mattress get stinky) and when we go out, they wear pull-ups.  My sons are 2 years, 10 months old.  I started training them when they were 2 years, 5 months old.  That time, I noticed that their diapers would be dry for more than 3 hours, proof that they had better bladder control.  Also, they could already speak and communicate clearly na so it was easy for them to say poopoo or weewee.  I didn't let myself get pressured by other moms whose kids were potty-trained at an earlier age.  I took my children's cue. :)

^ganun daw hangang nasanay na. Hindi talaga wiwi and pupu pag wala sa toilet.

^marose My son has briefs na lahat na ata ng character meron eh. Ayaw talaga. so it took you 5months bago sila ma diaper free? Nagsasabi sila pag pupupu and wiwiwi? Sakin kasi while doing it saka niya sinasabi. You rush to the toilet as soon as they look like they're going for it?

^ You have to understand that very young children cannot control their bladder yet.  Kaya pagkasabi ng weewee or poopoo, usually tapos na.  Toilet-training doesn't happen overnight.

We had those accidents before (countless times), I let it go since I know that physiologically, hindi pa possible for them to express it and control their urges.  I suggest you do not make a big deal out of it.  We took nappies out gradually.  Una, sa morning lang after they wake up and before they take a bath.  Then, as we noticed that they're getting better at controlling their urges, we slowly took away another nappy, and so on.  Up to now, may accidents pa rin kaya I cannot say they're 100% toilet-trained.  We're getting there and that is what's important for me.  Ayokong i-force sila if hindi sila 100% ready.  What we do now is to make them go to the toilet to pee every 2 hours  or so.  Kapag poopoo naman, may clear signs talaga like they go stand in one corner and make "iri" - that's our cue.  Dapat vigilant ang caregiver.  Basta, if accidents happen, do not treat it as a very big deal.  These are very young children, they need a break. :)

my kid started to really potty train at 2 1/2 years old (prior to that, we started to introduce the potty chair around 10-11months, so he'll be comfortable sitting on it, then we stopped, continued at around 1 1/2 years old, then stopped again.started around 2 yrs old, the reason for this on and off method, we were trying to find out if he is ready na talaga)

when he turned 2 1/2, suddenly we hit a milestone, he would really tell if he wants to "make weewee" or make "poopoo," he had fewer accidents and took his thing directly to our regular toilet (sayang nga ang potty chair e)

now at 33 months, we only put diapers at night.

my advice would be to take it slowly, may sariling rhythm naman ang mga bata.praise them everytime they successfully tell you of the deed before they actually do it.

My son is 2 years and 2 months old na and he already tells us pag mag-pee na sya. He'll say "Mommy, eeww, eeww". :) Pero pag poop, hindi nya sinasabi pa. So what we do is when he wakes up, he'll poop na then after bathing, wala na sya nappy. :)

^ Maybe it would help if you establish a routine, like, she poops right after breakfast (or whenever it is most convenient for her and you or the yaya).

Add more fiber to her diet para di siya constipated.

I am planning din to potty train my baby when she gets to 20 months.  But parang after reading the thread here, parang mas ok to wait till she's two para ready na sya.  But when ko kaya siya start sa pull ups or training diapers?

My 3 year old daughter knows how to go to the CR for her to wiwi ... she tells me "mama, wiwi" or "mama, CR" ... but for popoo ... naku po pahorapan ... kaya ayun diaper pag poops siya.

Help naman mga sis some tips para poop na rin si baby ko sa CR.

Thanks
