^I thought once diagnosed with autism forever na yun, pero nai-improve ang quality of life through therapy. In your nephew's case, nagamot sya? Or mis-diagnosed lang with ASD?
^from my observation, they have systematized play, which the child needs to focus and interact. sa mga nakita ko, this is their usual routine (first 3 months):1. opening song with action2. massage or rigorous play like wheel borrow or bouncing ball3. activity which the child has to follow certain instructions as follows, e.g. a. get puzzle b. jump on mat with open/close feet etc c. slide e. ride car f. build puzzle4. fine motor skills activities like threading, using screws5. activities that will visual or memory skills like use of pictures, puzzles etc.after their OT, the teacher talks to us with his notes on what their activities are and how the child responded. if there are skills or activities that the child seems to be lacking, then you have to work on it at home. we also try the systematized play at home where the child has to follow certain instructions, similar to their OT. as the child progresses, rigorous play is replaced by different activities like coloring, tracing, drawing, etc. this is just based on my experience, seeing my nephew on his OT every week.
