Mga sis, I have a dilemma. Meron na ba nakasubok ng ceremony na 11AM to 1PM or 10-12NN?  Tapos reception at 3-8PM. Sakto ba na time for dinner reception yun?Ayaw ko na talaga pakawalan ang Church of the Risen Lord kasl naunahan na kami sa afternoon ceremony. If we change our date ang hassle kase na magbayad ng 10k for reschedule sa reception venue tapos reallign pa ng schedule ng suppliers. May choice kami to have a morning wedding kaso until 2pm lang namin pede magamit ang reception venue. Sayang.

Ano sa tingin nyo mga sis? TIA :)

sis, sobrang saktong lunch time ang ceremony.. magugutom ang guests.. kasi oras ng tanghalian yon.. where is your reception? bakit bawal magpa change ng time? pero pag morning wedding ok lang sa knila na hanggang 2pm lang dapat?

sis unicahija7, mukhang medyo malaking dilemma nga yan..
in my pov, kung wala na talagang option for change date, the best na sigurong kunin is yung slot na closest sa reception start nyo which is yung 11am-1pm. at least 2-hr difference lang compared dun sa 3-hour wait.
tapos advise na lang kayo ng bongga to your guests na mag-heavy brunch or meryenda sila before the ceremony dahil nga 3pm pa ang reception. and if you can, mag-spare ka ng budget to give out snacks after the ceremony that they can eat at their convenience bago pumunta sa reception or while in transit.
and make sure na din your invited guests are those na really close sa inyo na makakaintindi sa circumstances and willing mag-sacrifice ng slight para makasama kayo i-celebrate ang wedding nyo.

Hanging Gardens sis. They allowed us to change our time.

Now we're thinking of changing the date na lang and pay the 10k charge. Yun na yung mas magandang option for us and our guests. Problema lang, I have two dates in mind for September pero my heart is still dead set for August 20 na original plan namin. :(

Haha.

~

Sis f878

Thank sis ha. I was considering that kaso nakakaawa din our guests. What do you think sis?

ah.. kala ko kase sis weekend wedding ka. yung suggestion ko lang naman is pag sobrang no choice na talaga. glad to know na ok na si h2b mo to change the date. :)
in my opinion sis mas ok sa'ken yung monday. kase parang mejo off yung transition pag wednesday kase middle of the work week. pero there are some who prefer na ganun so better check with your friends & families na din kung ano'ng pinaka-amenable sa kanila.
sa'ken kase pag monday, kung mag-leave man sila parang long weekend lang so mejo refreshed and well rested pa sila kase konek pa rin sa sat-sun.

I have attended a 10-12 ceremony. The reception stated at around 130pm. There's a lot of food for cocktails while the couple is having their post ceremony pictorial so everything went fine. But a friend told me that she attended a 10am ceremony and reception started at 2pm and the bad thing is there's not much cocktail food so everyone was starving by the time that they'll be eating their lunch. I think the guests can understand that you want to have lots of nice photos but you should treat them well too (meaning food. hehe)

wow. ang ganda pala ng COTRL!
sayang naman late ko na nalaman 'to because i would've seriously considered getting married there.
haaaaaayyy...
i guess ire-refer ko na lang 'to sa mga b2b's na kakilala ko. hehe

we had our wedding in 2013 sa CoTRL... gusto kasi namin ni hubby na separate ang ceremony sa reception. okay talaga yung church and nice/maayos kausap yung staff ng church. I highly recommend this church sa mga gusto ng church venue for their Christian wedding

Cotrl was recommended by our ninang.. late ko na nalaman na dito rin pala kinasal si shamcey. I like the lights used during her wedding.. iinquire ko pa if how much yun. Nakakadagdag kase ng effect :)

Hi sis vitug.annie... yes, dito nga kinasal si shamcey nung dec 2013. nauna kami ilang months sa kanila though nauna siyang nagpabook at nagpareserve ng date kesa amin. nalaman ko yun kasi nabanggit sa akin ng CoTRL staff na dun nga daw siya ikakasal... we also availed their standard package... that time, wala nabanggit sa amin na option about additional lights. happy preps sayo sis

You can have catholic & christian wedding sis. Madami ng gumagawa ng ganon.. toxic,  magastos but safe. Alam mong wala kang maooffend..
pero maganda talk to the parents.. let them know what you guys have decided.

True! Most especially if you are a son or daughter of a pastor. Haha!

^agree! out of 220 in our guestlist,  80 lang sa akin.. the rest hubby's side na. Mostly pastors since he's a pastor's son as well and he grew up in church.

What others do to limit the guests for the wedding to be really intimate is to get a venue which can hold only a few people. Hehe

My hubby was able to limit his guest per family by inviting only the couple, no kids included.. and yet, 140 ang guests nya! and mostly our guests comprises of immediate family, super close friends and relatives, then church ministers and associates.. i married a pastor's son kasi. :)

hello sisses! this thread is for me! i'm a born again christian and my h2b is a catholic but he accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord..yun nga lang ayaw niya pa magpaconvert ng born again..i am not forcing him kasi personal yun eh at yung relationship niya sa Lord ang importante for me at hindi yung religion..

so ayun..we'll be having our wedding in December (wala pang specific date)..sa Baguio kami ikakasal at isang venue lang ang ceremony and reception..it is good to know that I have lots of sisters in Christ na magtutulungan for our Big Day! Happy preps mga kapatid! God bless us all!
