^my b1285tu bought last year has a built-in 1.3mp webcam. after using it for just a couple of times. di na gumagana. worst, nawala sa device manager. when i brought it sa service center, they had to replace the lcd and motherboard para gumana ulit. after a couple of months and just a few uses, bumalik na naman ang problem.

^if your going to use your webcam for chatting I would suggest getting a CQ20 rather than the CQ40. We've tried both and the CQ20's cam is much superior. Is your OS not a factor for your b1285tu? have you tried updates for bios & drivers? maybe it's really a hardware problem, what kind of cam does a b1285tu have?

i'm using vista ultimate and my lappie has a built-in 1.3mp webcam. ok ang quality niya. it's just that it isn't working again and not showing itself sa device manager list. baka may hardware trouble na naman.

Hi sisters! i am currently using hp pavilion dv4 so far okay naman po sia. ang gusto ko kc sa kanya. unique yung pad nia and may tv tuner na plus remote for entertainment purposes. this is the latest edition of hp right now.

just got a compaq presario cq40 319tu

yun lang vista home sya gusto ko sana papalitan ng xp pero ayaw ng kuya ko kasi he paid more than SG$100 for the OS sabi sanayin ko na lang daw gumamit ng vista kasi di na magbibigay ng update ang microsoft sa Windows XP sa 2014 tagal pa naman eh

problema ko lang wala akong installer ng autocad na compatible sa vista

i have my eye on a cq20. am also torn on getting a netbook particularly hp mini2140. but then i saw the cq20. only 12" and has all the features i needed, but i have to add more. to those who have the cq20, is it worth it? i'm kinda small, so i was hoping i could easily lug it around. do you guys think this is better than buying a netbook? what do you guys think? i can't find decent reviews on the cq20. sayang kasi pinag ipunan ko kaya pinag iisipan ko mabuti hehe. thanks in advance for your opinions po.

my officemate recently bought this: http://laptop.oks.ph/compaq/compaq-presario-cq40-336tu/

she doesnt like vista and is thinking of shifting to xp. but the sales agent told her daw that that laptop is not made for xp. she asked other people who are knowledgeable in computers. they told her na it's ok. now she's asking me

is it ok to shift to xp then? would it harm the laptop in the long run?

^^i read in other forum that the drivers for XP in HP site is not complete, i just don't know if it will have any effect if you downgrade to xp...yung drivers siguro ang magiging problema nya she will have to search for complete drivers for xp na compatible sa mga nakalagay sa laptop nya

i was like that before i wanted to downgrade from vista to XP pero sabi ng brother ko sanayin ko na lang daw ang Vista kasi sayang daw binayad nya

you'll just have to find the drivers yourself.... kung wala sa HP site go to the manufacturer of the hardware component itself...

not very straight forward but very very much possible... sabi lang ng mga nag bebenta na di pwede kasi wala silang drivers na available and they dont want you to bother them for support in case you have problems...

i have two laptops hp 6510b and dell 1410 both came with vista licenses and are now running on XP

Cremebrulee I'm so glad Ive found someone with the same laptop. How's your new laptop faring?

I've just gotten my HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx entertainment notebook PC, and because I am really not techie I've been backreading the threads to understand the things I'm supposed to do to take care of it. I also have no idea kung ano news dito sa laptop na to, like if its prone to glitches etc. Baka naman you can help me out, I really wanna take care of this baby
