beerAlcohol has a bad rep of ruining your skin—it’s been known to dehydrate you and accelerate signs of aging—but after reading this, you may change your mind. Have you ever heard of beer facials? Instead of drinking your booze, try applying it on your face. We’re not kidding!

The yeast in beer balances the pH level of the skin and kills pimple-causing bacteria. Beer also effectively dissolves dead skin cells, lifting away layers of dullness. So instead of guzzling it up, consider it as an ingredient for this brightening facial recipe.

Brightening Beer Facial

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of beer
2 egg whites (for oily skin) or 1 punctured Vitamin E capsule (for dry skin)
1 tablespoon of calamansi juice

Procedure
Whisk all the ingredients together. Soak a cotton ball in the solution and apply on skin. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes, and then rinse your face with water to remove the mask.
