PSA: Don't throw away your old bras just yet—Wacoal Philippines is letting its customers donate used/worn-out bras at any of its boutique stores and participating department stores. Now this is sustainable fashion we can get behind:
The process is pretty easy too! From Aug. 1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2018, all you'll have to do is head to any participating branch and deposit a maximum of four bras in the bra recycling bin. These will in turn be converted into a source of environmentally-free energy. Pretty sweet way to clear up your closet and help the environment at the same time!
Another way to breathe new life in them is to repurpose them. If you've got time in your hands, here are a few craftsy things you can do:
Make a bra purse.
You read that right. If those cups can support your boobies, it can also support small items like your phone or a few wads of cash. This video shows how you can do it with hot glue, but you can also sew everything together to make it sturdier.
Sew them into your backless dresses.
Nipple pasties are great, but if you're anxious about them sliding off and falling on the floor (yes, it's a legit fear), you can turn your old bras for literal support. Just snip off all the straps and sew them on the inside of your dress. It takes practice to get it on straight, but it's totally worth it!
