If you’re crazy about organizing and de-cluttering, Marie Kondo is the best resource person to look up to. After introducing the KonMari Method in her best-selling book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, taking control of clutter has never been easier. Her technique of removing items that don’t spark joy is simple and straight to the point.

Besides the elimination process, her folding technique is awesome, too! It’s similar to filing your clothes in the drawer, saving you tons of closet space. It may seem too OC for some, but trust us, the results are definitely worth it. Scroll down to see our instructional GIFS.


1. Place the pair of socks on top of each other.
2. Fold the toe inward until you reach the cuff.
3. Fold the heel flap toward the toe.
4. Fold in half and let it stand upright when storing each pair.


Underwear, bikini bottoms

1. Lay the item flat.
2. Fold the crotch toward the waistband.
3. Fold each side inward.
4. Let it stand upright by folding it in half, lengthwise.


1. Lay the shirt flat.
2. Fold one side, making sure the sleeve is flat.
3. Fold the sleeve in half.
4. Repeat the second and third steps until the shirt forms into a uniform rectangle.
5. Bring the neckline foward, an inch away from the hem.
6. Fold it in half twice, so you can keep it upright.


Recommended Videos

1. Lay the sweater flat.
2. Fold each side, along with the sleeves.
3. Repeat on the other side, making the sleeves overlap until you form a rectangle.

4. Fold thrice, starting from the collar.
5. Keep upright.


1. Lay the pants flat.
2. Fold one leg over the other.
3. Fold the crotch inwards.
4. Fold the pants halfway, an inch away from the waistband.
5. Fold it again in half and pack away upright.
