Wear the shoes. Rule the world. It’s that simple when you have a pair of Fitflops on!

During the brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection launch, we were able to sit down with international marketing manager Emma Saunter, who flew in especially from the UK to meet the regional press from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand in Cebu.

“We’re just in the final stages of finalizing our Spring/Summer '15 line now,” she reveals excitedly. “We work pretty much a year in advance, so from the point of designing the product, then sampling, testing, then going into production.”

And what a meticulous process it is. Emma shares that user testing in particular is very important to them. A classic pair of FitFlops is built on microwobbleboard midsoles and makes use of technology inspired by the equipment used by physical therapists to help patients with post-muscle injuries.

This season, however, FitFlop has added new midsoles to the collection.

“Our traditional microwobble is triple density, so the Banda Collection is on Supercomff, which is dual density, so it’s a much thinner midsole and it allows for your feet to spread at the front which helps diffuse the pressure,” Emma explains. “It’s beautiful. I mean, it’s a really interesting silhouette that you’ll see coming through.” The Biomimetix, on the other hand, is built on a multi-density midsole, which offers the same pressure diffusion and unparalleled comfort.
