It happens to the best of us. All is well until Aunt Flo decides to pay you a visit and even leaves a souvenir—a period stain! Before you panic and get paranoid over the embarrassing stain on your bottoms, here are several quick fixes you can do with emergency items readily available everywhere.
1. Blast it with cold water.
When the stain is fresh, place it under running cold water. Squeeze out the blood and reach for any soap you have.
2. Get some salt!
If you're having dinner and you encounter a bloody accident, zoom into the restroom with the salt shaker in tow. You can erase traces of the stain by mixing salt with cold water. Your contact lenses solution, which is a sanitized saline solution, can also produce the same stain removal effect.
3. Give the stain a full-blown attack when you get home.
To prevent the stain from ruining your favorite piece of clothing forever, you may try mixing baking soda with water until it turns into a paste. Dab the paste on the stain and throw it in the washer. This age-old trick works like a charm, too!
