We know that there will be violent reactions after learning the ugly truth about your favorite drink making your skin dry, especially your lips. According to a post from Chicago Tribune, coffee and tea are the main culprits of flaky lips!

When your puckers are dry, it's a sign that your whole body is dehydrated. The skin on your lips are the thinnest, so it's the first obvious victim of dryness. Coffee and tea have high caffeine content, which make them both diuretics, and these naturally deplete the stored liquids in your body.

If you're thinking of making it up by chugging eight glasses or two liters of water a day, you must remember that the cups of coffee and tea cancel it out. The article suggests that the best solution would be to reduce (because we simply can't quit them!) the consumption of caffeinated drinks. Plus, it's better that you start weaning from coffee and tea as early as now before your whole complexion starts to dry up!
