A lot of celebs are now making their foray into beauty and cosmetics, and we’re definitely not complaining. This year saw the launch of both local and foreign lines, and these entrepreneurs are killing it! Here are products we liked from each of them:
From Fenty Beauty by Rihanna
Riri shook the beauty industry with her inclusive cosmetic line with the goal of “beauty for all,” and making “skin look like skin.” This labor of love was two years in the making, but it was definitely worth the wait.
FN Pick: Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
Price: P1,950 at Sephora.ph
Of course, we’re going with the flagship product: The Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation has a shade for every skin tone, and while it gives great coverage, it’s pretty light on the skin. You’d also be surprised at how long it lasts even when you’re into all sorts of physical activities.
From the Coast to Coast Collection by Gigi Hadid x Maybelline
Gigi Hadid and Maybelline recently collaborated on a slick makeup line with two distinct looks—“West Coast Glow,” which features summer tints that reflect the warm beach vibes of California, and “East Coast Glam,” full of muted but sleek shades perfectly adding a dash of fierceness to your look.
FN Pick: Gigi Hadid Limited Edition Jetsetter Palette
Price: P1,899 at beauty counters
A smart combination of both looks, this palette is compact enough to bring with you during your travels as it comes complete with two shades of concealer, four shades of eyeshadow, one shade each of blush and matte bronzer, two shades of tinted lip balm, and a mini mascara tube. T
From blk by Anne Curtis Smith
Created in partnership with beauty maven Jacqe Gutierrez, blk Cosmetics is all about “uncomplicated beauty.” The line has all the basics you need for your daily makeup routine, and the wearable shades can easily take you from morning until evening.
FN Pick: blk Contour, Blush, and Highlighter Palette
Price: P499 at blkcosmetics.com.ph and at beauty counters
We like that everything you need to give your face that added glamour is in one compact packaging, but the best thing about it is the highlighter. The subtle, barely-there effect can easily get you glowing with just the the right amount of drama.
From Vice Cosmetics by Vice Ganda
Comedian Vice Ganda focused on a solid lippie line for the launch of Vice Cosmetics, which is currently comprised of bullets, liners, and liquid lipsticks. With Macky Samaco of US-based makeup brands Lique and Tattoo Junkie as the co-founder, Vice’s products were so in-demand that their website crashed on the day of the launch.
FN Pick: Aura from the Good Vibes Lipstick Collection
Price: P198 at vicecosmetics.com.ph and at beauty counters
The warm rosy tint can match almost any skin tone—plus its creaminess isn’t compromised by the fact that it’s matte.
