Just like any beauty product, there will be instances when your newly-purchased mascara won’t do any magic for your lashes. Instead of tossing the unwanted mascara in the trash, why not re-purpose it as a root stamper.

A root-stamper precisely coats each lash from root to tip, creating flirty, doll-like, long lashes. Here’s how to create one:

Materials:
Old mascara wand that did not work for you
A tube of mascara that you love
A pair of scissors
Tissue

Procedure:
1. Open the tube of the mascara you’re not crazy about and cut the bristles off.
2. Curl you lashes as usual, wiggle your fave mascara on the lashes, and let dry.
3. Dip the slashed wand in your reliable mascara’s formula and carefully stamp each lash from the root to the tip of the upper lashes.
4. Do the same on the bottom lashes for a wide-eyed look.
