Iya Villania has officially cut her long hair, moving on to this chic new 'do. The TV host now rocks a layered bob with a wispy fringe featuring a fuller crown, which her hairdresser Alex Carbonell calls "chewy bangs."
Erich Gonzales also hopped on the textured bob trend a few months ago for her movie premiere. It's a cut that definitely adds some edge to your look!
If you're a fan of softer waves, you'll love Sarah Geronimo's take on the fringed lob. The slight bend frames her cheekbones perfectly!
For a bolder take on the trend, check out Kim Jones' new look. She took some '90s movie inspo to heart and went for a bob that grazes the chin with short blunt bangs.
According to hairstylist Mycke Arcano, those with oval- and square-shaped faces should consider this chop. "A textured bob with a wispy fringe frames these face shapes to create [a lifting] illusion, while adding a youthful yet chic vibe," he explains.
That "lifting" effect specifically points to the ability of the cut to reduce the elongated appearance of an oval-shaped face. Meanwhile, for those with square-shaped faces, the fringe can help it appear less wide, with the waves balancing out its naturally sharp angles.
