Summer is our official excuse to turn up the brightness on everything we wear, but if it isn't your style to wear colored pants or bright dresses, take a cue from celebs and channel your energy to your lip color instead. In fact, we've spotted one lipstick shade in particular appear on several famous mouths recently, and it might just be the freshest hue to sport for the season.
Hide your peachy hues and your reds—fuchsia is taking over the lip color wheel for the summer. Bea Alonzo approves, wearing her in a liquid matte formula that naturally adds volume to the pout:
For a subtler, more hydrating take, do it the Anne Curtis way and opt for a satin finish formula that still delivers high pigment. Wear it with minimal makeup for an instant statement!
If you're a fuchsia novice, blot off your lipstick with a tissue to tone down the color and make it appear more pastel. Once finished, expect a powder matte look like Elisse Joson's:
A gradient lip, as seen here on Ylona Garcia, is always a fun option when you're still testing out a shade, not to mention that it makes any hue look twice as youthful.
