The holidays are the perfect time to bring out your best beauty looks forward. No look can be too shimmery or too bold, because festive times call for an extra festive face. This doesn't mean spending two hours on your makeup, though! Holiday glam is more than just the intricate eye looks you see on Instagram. The most showstopping ones are actually the simplest, and even those who aren't eyeshadow-savvy can pull them off. In fact, here are seven you can rock to your next party:
1. Amplified blush
Get your cheeks up front and center for your party selfies. Cop the hangover blush technique (rouge on the center of the cheeks and nose) then add some highlighter on top for a chic glow!
2. Dark nude
In a rush? Try this quick dramatic look. All you need is black kohl liner, running that over your waterlines and lashlines, and a peachy pale nude lipstick you can apply without a mirror.
3. Wearable glossy eye
No lip gloss needed. Simply dab your face highlighter all over your eyelids for a lovely sheen. Pair it with a bold lip color for more drama, or a nude to keep your look fresh and dewy.
4. Statement lips
A blinged-out pucker is no longer a runway-only look. You'll find metallic or glitter liquid lipsticks in a ton of makeup brands so you won't have to pat actual glitter onto your mouth. Red is a classic hue for this, but any shiny shade will make a statement.
5. Colored eyeliner
A dark black cat eye might be too intense for a holiday get-together, so opt for something brighter like white or blue for your wing. Or better yet, layer a black cat eye and a colored one on top of each other! Take notes from Nadine Lustre here!
6. Eyes only
Your everyday makeup look can be party-approriate if you amp up at least one element. For one, you can intensify your inner corner highlight for an eye-opening effect. Even if the rest of your makeup is neutral and rosy, you'll still shine the brightest in photos.
7. Glassy skin
Layer on those sheet masks, serums, essences and other glow-inducing skin care hours before a party to achieve the ultimate no-foundation look. Apply some blush, mascara and a lip color of your choice to add some color and you'll be out the door in no time.
