Long, bouncy tresses are the ultimate sign of ladylike femininity, and a lot of women dream of having lush locks worthy of appearing in a shampoo commercial. But it really doesn’t matter whether your hair is long or short, curly or straight or wavy. What’s more important is that your crowning glory is at its healthiest state—something that's quite difficult to achieve when there are so many hair-enhancing options available that do more harm than good.

“Our hair is exposed to too much color, too much rebond, too much blow-dry, too much products, too much gel… this does a lot of harm to the hair and scalp,” says Madame Bee Choo, the founder of the Bee Choo line of herbal hair products. Her homemade natural hair remedies have gained immense popularity in Singapore, her hometown, and as her business boomed throughout the years, she gradually expanded to neighboring countries Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, and, most recently, the Philippines, where the treatments can be availed at the newly opened TaylorTyler Herbal Hair Spa and Salon.

We got to talk to Bee Choo herself during the salon’s opening, and she told us about a few all-natural hair care ingredients that are guaranteed to give you lovelier locks. Scroll through the gallery below to find out what she has to say.
