When was the last time you finished a tube of lipstick? Yes, the entire thing. Whatever your answer is, here's something that might make you think twice the next time you're about to toss out those used lippies.
While we usually think of throwing out a lipstick as soon as it goes flat in the tube, makeup artists do something entirely different and way more economical. Jyka Espinoza shared her trick on Instagram Stories, where she demonstrated how to scoop out all the rouge from a seemingly empty bullet.

The makeup artist shares that there are two ways to depot your lipsticks: either with or without the use of heat. "Some people melt the lipsticks before putting it in the wells, but I've read reviews that it changes the consistency over time," she explains. "That's why I [prefer a] simpler way—cutting the lipstick [out of the bullet] and pressing it into the well until it looks nice and even. It can get very tedious and messy but you can always use a cotton bud to clean up the edges."
