A red zit on your face is such a big downer, but you don't need to hide under a rock until it disappears. Don't pop it on your own either! Instead, follow this two-step remedy: Dab hydrocortisone cream (available in drugstores) on the spot to calm the inflamed area, and then add a drop of redness-reducing eye drops to slay the pimple's redness.

How reliable is this method? It's similar to how a dermatologist deals with pimples. Dermas inject cortisone into the zit to kill bacteria, inflammation, and redness. While what they do is certainly more potent and effective, when you're in a rush, a topical technique is a great alternative.
