The Killer Bride is the best gift on TV right now! In case you're not familiar with it, the teleserye is about a new girl in town, Emma Bonaobra (Janella Salvador) who claims to be possessed by the ghost of Camila de la Torre (Maja Salvador).
Camila was falsely accused of murder (allegedly, she killed a man the day before her wedding, hence the nickname) and got imprisoned. A fire accidentally (or so they say...) broke out in jail, and she died trying to save her baby, Vida, from the flames. Camila exclaimed that she will find a way to avenge her and her daughter's fate before her last breath.
I hate anything horror, but somehow, I'm hooked on this show. Every time I watch an episode, I would ask myself, "Ano ba talaga? It's so hard to trust any character in this show!!!!" I would always go on Twitter to see what other people thought of the events. Like me, they knew a big revelation was about to happen.
And then it happened. Camila de la Torre is alive, and she hired Emma to fake everything. Emma had everyone in the town in fooled, us included! Give Janella a best actress award already!
Camila deserves our respect. She managed to stay incognito for years, and came back with fiercest makeover: She sported a white pantsuit, and the only pop of colors you'll see are her red lips and fire engine red pointed stiletto pumps. I can't count how many times I watched the pasabog scene just to see every detail of her new look.
Because of Camila ver. 2.0, I am convinced that we should all start wearing red lipstick more, especially when you want to be a badass like her.
