If you're one of our many readers slowly transitioning into using sustainable beauty products for everyday use, then this is the best news you'll hear all day: Unilever Philippines is finally bring their first sustainable brand, Love Beauty and Planet, to Philippine shores! And we can't be more excited, especially with all the award-winning products you'll soon be able to get your hands on.

But first, what exactly makes their brand sustainable and carbon-conscious? Aside from being infused with vegan, cruelty-free, ethically-sourced, organic ingredients, Love Beauty and Planet products are packaged in 100 percent recycled bottles. The bottles themselves are recyclable as well. They're also free from silicones, parabens and dyes. 

FemaleNetwork.com was able to test out some of their initial offerings, and we instantly fell in love with their Murumuru Butter and Rose Collection. The Blooming Color Shampoo and Conditioner (both available at P390/400mL bottle), are formulated for colored hair, and will leave your tresses feeling soft and moisturized so you won't have to worry about it looking damaged if you forget to apply your leave-in conditioner. Bonus: The fantastic smells lasts all day, too.

The set even made it to the Allure Beauty Awards 2018: "Love Beauty and Planet Blooming Color Shampoo and Conditioner are so creamy and petal-soft, they soften your hands—never mind what they do for dry hair," they wrote.

But why does it work so well?

According to the brand, the collection, "infused with butter derived from murumuru seeds, helps soften and protect skin and hair from dryness." (This can be an alternative to shampoo bars if you've been struggling to find one that works for your hair type.)

Love Beauty and Planet products will be exclusively available online through Lazada, BeautyMNL, Zalora, Beauty Bubble, Shopee, and Watsons Online on January 21. They'll be available in select drugstores and department stores nationwide on February 1. 

Some of their other award-winning products include the Radical Refresher Showerless Cleansing Mist (Oprah.com's Spring Beauty O-Wards 2018) and the Argan Oil & Lavender Deodorant Stick (mindbodygreen Beauty Awards). Unfortunately, these products aren't available in the country yet, but here's to hoping we can get our hands on them soon!
