1.

Exfoliating every day.
Although some facial scrubs market themselves as “safe for daily use,” exfoliating your face every single day can do some serious damage. If you continue to use a scrub as your daily facial wash, you strip your skin of its natural moisture, which could cause irritation.

2. Overdoing your acne treatments.
Take the directions seriously if you're using spot treatments for skin issues like acne. These treatments are potent and contain ingredients that could potentially wreak havoc on your skin should you apply a lot. In some cases, overdoing your acne treatments can even lead to chemical burns on the face! Yikes.

3. Over-moisturization
Dry-skinned girls have the tendency to over apply their moisturizer in the hopes of curing their skin woes. But this bad beauty habit can make the skin lazy, so it stops producing natural moisture and relies on skincare products instead.

4. Heavily-fragranced products
Fragrances have been linked to allergies, deramatitis, and even respiratory issues.

5. Using expired makeup
Okay, if you don’t remember when you bought a certain product, toss it out. Using expired makeup will lead to nothing but skin and health issues that could stretch out for years. If you don’t want to deal with constant inflammations, irritations, and infections, be smart about the products that you put on your face. No matter how much you love makeup (or how expensive it is), remember that it’s more important to take care of your skin and your health.
