One way you can relate to your kids is by watching some of the shows they tune into. But if you expect to be bored, think again, especially if your kids are watching Adventure Time.

To the uninitiated, Adventure Time is an animated series created by Pendleton Ward, which revolves around best friends—Finn the Human and Jake the Dog—who embark on a lot of strange but wonderful adventures all the time.

To help jog your memory, it's the one with a boy with a bunny hat and dots for eyes shouting "Mathematical!" and "Algebraic!" and the yellow dog with saucer-like eyes and an impossibly flexible body. If you haven’t seen an episode yet, then here’s a primer to help you figure out what the fuss is all about. Who knows, you might even find yourself to be a fan.
