Sleeplessness in young children is a common occurrence that is related to overstimulation and poor bedtime habits. But these are relatively easy to change.

Though kids’ sleep requirements fall within a predictable range based on age, each child has specific sleep needs. Still, because they are growing physically and processing a lot of unfamiliar neurological data, children need a lot more sleep than adults. 

Bedtime battles often start during the toddler years, and unless parents can control the situation immediately, it can go on throughout childhood.
