Yeng Constantino and Yan Asuncion will be celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary this year.

They got married on February 14, 2015, in a private garden ceremony at Hacienda Isabella in Cavite.

Being married has made Yeng realize a few new things about herself and as a woman.

She said, "Hindi puwede tignan 'yung asawa mo as your knight in shining armor.

"Dapat Xena ka. Gets mo ako? Dapat you're strong also."

Xena referred to the fictional titular character of the 1990s show, Xena: Warrior Princess.

Yeng shared her thoughts on marriage in an interview with PEP.ph at the media conference for the Divas concert with Boyz II Men.

BE STRONG FOR BOTH OF YOU

The Pop Rock princess explained why it's important to be strong-willed in a marriage.

"You have to be strong. Kapag nakita mo siya na weak, ikaw yung poste niya... abot mo 'yung kamay mo, ['tapos sabihin mo,] 'Love, kaya mo iyan, let's go.'

"Kailangan, strong kayo pareho.

"Huwag mo siyang i-criticize for being weak at times, kasi malay mo, yun lang 'yung lesson na pagdadaanan niya.

Yeng shares a funny anecdote involving their dog as an example.

"Oh my god, parang, 'Love, I don't know what to do!' Sobra siyang natulala.

"Promise, ako nagpulot nung poo-poo ng dog.

"'Tapos after nun parang, 'Love, grabe ka, I never thought,' sabi niya, 'Wow.'

Sabi niya, 'Hindi ka maarte no?'
