PEP.ph was able to exclusively interview Wowowillie host and producer Willie Revillame two hours after he announced his resignation from his show on May 21.

Willie, who has been a TV host for nine years, said he that he has gotten tired of showbiz, and that he wants to focus on his business ventures for now.

"Kailangan ko ng break kasi parang na-drain ako. Na-burnout ako,” he had said. "Saka nagpapatayo ako ng hotel sa Tagaytay. Parang gusto ko na pirmi ako doon (I need a break because I already feel drained. I'm burned out. And I'm already constructing a hotel in Tagaytay. I think I want to take up residence there.).”

Willie also revealed that he will only keep hosting his show until his contract with the network ends in October.

"Kasi hanggang October 15 pa ako sa TV5, five months pa. Marami pang pagbabago 'yan,” he said. "52 years old na ako. Gusto ko naman na i-enjoy ang mga pinaghirapan ko. Aanhin ko naman ang mga naipon ko kung magkakasakit naman ako dahil sa stress (I'll be with TV5 until October 15, I still have five months to go. A lot can happen then. I'm already 52 years old. I want to enjoy what I worked hard for. How can I enjoy the fruits of my labor if I get sick because of stress?)?”

Despite this, Willie says his production staff shouldn’t worry about losing their jobs, as he assures them that he doesn’t forget about the people who have remained loyal to him through the years.
