In the press conference for the movie Till My Heartaches End, teen actor Gerald Anderson broke down in tears as he spoke about his close relationship with his love team partner Kim Chiu, thanking her for accepting him despite his faults, PEP.ph reports. The actor went on to talk about how public opinion of him has changed long after his rescuing people during typhoon Ondoy last year. "Mula noong araw na yun, naging model ako sa mata ng mga tao," Gerald said. "Siguro nakalimutan nila na tao din ako. Nagkakamali din ako."Despite his good-guy image, Gerald is now the victim of fan backlash after reports of him being linked to other actresses surfaced. Fans of the "Kimerald" loveteam have reportedly been sending hate mail and death threats to the young actor. Fans claim that they will only support Kim. “Kasi kung ako lang, kaya kong tanggapin lahat ng mga [ibato] sa akin. Pero iba na pag nadadamay na pati pamilya ko,” Gerald is quoted as saying. “May tumawag nga noong isang araw at sinabi sa nanay ko na papatayin daw ang anak niya. Siyempre po, medyo iba na yun, di ba? 'Yan, hindi na po kasama sa trabaho namin 'yan. Pero yun, hindi ako galit. Basta ako I'll try my best, I'll do my best para maging role model. After this, the actor stepped out of the conference. Later on, the staff of Star Cinema said Gerald would not be coming back. He had been sent to the hospital due to hyperventilation.
