charice_pempengco_vicky_belo.jpgInternational singing star Charice Pempengco went through non-invasive Botox and thermage procedures from Dra. Vicki Belo to narrow her “naturally round face” in preparation for her stint on popular US TV show Glee, Spot.PH reports. Charice, who previously went to the Belo Clinic only for facials, underwent the procedures upon Belo’s advice. The cosmetic surgeon herself told that she recommended them after noticing Charice’s face has gotten so much wider than her original appearance three years ago.

As for Charice, she is quoted as saying, “Lahat po ng mga tao inaasahan nila, ‘Ano kaya ‘yong itsura ni Charice? Karapat-dapat ba siyang itapat kay Rachel Berry?’ So, siyempre sobrang laki ng pressure (A lot of people are expecting, ‘What does Charice look like? Is she worthy of being Rachel Berry’s rival?’ So of course there's a lot of pressure.”) She added, "Isa ito sa mga big preparation namin for Glee. Gusto ko naman mag-mukhang fresh paglabas ng kamera (This is one of our big preparations for Glee. I hope to look fresh in front of the camera.)”

The news has already reached international shores, landing on the websites of New York Magazine, CNN, People, Us Weekly, AP, Just Jared, and Perez Hilton, Spot.PH reports, and "fresh" is not among the words respondents are using. “SICK!!” Perez wrote on his blog. “Who the eff would do that to an effing teenager in good conscience?!”
