After news of Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho’s engagement rocked the local showbiz world in June, a new rumor surfaced saying the two were already married civilly, PEP.ph reports. Vicki’s children, entrepreneur Cristalle Henares and director Quark Henares, both refused to comment about this recent development. They said that what matters to them right now is that their mom is happy. “Whereas before na very vocal kami about, you know, about being against [their engagement], now, it's more like, you know, 'Mommy, we love you and we support you. As long as it makes you happy,’” Cristalle is quoted as saying.While they openly support their mom, however, how are Cristalle’s and Quark’s relations with Hayden? “Okay naman. I mean not, not bad. I'm very direct with him. I think that's how he should be dealt with also,” Quark is quoted as saying on Startalk TX on July 16, as reported on PEP.ph.
Meanwhile, Cristalle says, “I'm still at a point, na, you know, I'm still a bit protective of my mom. So, we're not chummy, chummy or anything. Pero, when we see each other in public, ano naman, may acknowledgment.”
Cristalle also admits that Hayden is doing his best. “Nakikita ko naman yung effort on his part. I mean, you know, he put up a business. He's trying to get his medical license back. So, nakikita ko naman na he's improving for the better.”
Conflicts exist in all families—including blended ones.
