Vhong Navarro was finally released from St. Luke's Medical Center today, February 6, after two weeks of confinement. ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the actor sustained “contusion hematoma around his eyes, forehead, chin, and some parts of his extremities.”

According to Vhong, he was allegedly attacked by several men led by businessman Cedric Lee on January 22. On the other hand, Cedric maintains that he just defended his friend, Deniece Cornejo, whom Vhong reportedly attempted to rape.

The It's Showtime host initially filed a six-page sworn statement
while he was still in the hospital, which allowed his lawyer to press charges on his behalf. As such, he went straight to the Department of Justice (DOJ) after his hospital release to confirm the authenticity of his sworn affidavit as well as to sign all the documents related to the case. He was accompanied by his lawyer, Atty. Alma Mallonga.

“...Ayaw ko lang pong maulit ito... Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nagdarasal, sa lahat nang nagpapalakas ng loob ko, maraming maraming salamat po (I don't want this to happen again... I want to thank everyone who prayed for me and encouraged me. Thanks so much),” he was quoted by ABS-CBN as saying.

According to a separate report from PEP.ph, the DOJ will conduct a preliminary investigation on February 14.
