Sunshine Cruz has revealed during the press conference of her new teleserye Dugong Buhay that she has forgiven her husband Cesar Montano after his alleged affair with starlet Krista Miller.

“Siguro kaya nga masaya ako ngayon at nakakangiti na tayo kasi nga nakapagpatawad na tayo,” the actress was quoted as saying in an article on PEP.ph. “Kristiyano tayo. Mahirap magtanim ng sama ng loob. Dadami ang wrinkles natin diyan (Maybe the reason why I’m happy and able to smile now is because I’ve already forgiven him. We’re Christians. It’s not easy to hold grudges. We'll just get more wrinkles.).”

However, Sunshine was not able to give a direct answer when she was asked if it was possible for her and Cesar to reconcile in the future.

“Ay, naku, sa totoo lang, mahirap (Oh, to be honest, it’s difficult.). Only God knows,” she had replied. “Sa ngayon talaga, kung ano yung mga dumarating sa akin na trabaho, doon lang ako naka-focus. Huwag na muna. Pabayaan na muna natin ang isa’t isa (Right now, I’m just focusing on the projects that come my way. Let's not go into that direction. Allow us to focus on ourselves first.).”

Sunshine also said that her heart was already “exhausted” with the reports about Cesar’s many alleged affairs.

“I’m not getting any younger, I’m thirty-five years old. Ano ang gagawin ko sa buhay ko? Gano’n na lang ba palagi? It’s a neverending cycle? Ayaw ko na (What will I do with my life? Will it always be this way? It’s a never-ending cycle? I don’t want this anymore.).”
