ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Sunshine Cruz has filed an Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children complaint-affidavit against her estranged husband, Cesar Montano, on August 13.

In the complaint, Sunshine had described Cesar as “a very domineering, philandering husband that demanded full submission and obedience” from her. According to the actress, Cesar allegedly physically and verbally abused her and her three daughters and even “barged” into her home on May 12, Mother’s Day, to attack and rape her.

Sunshine also claims that Cesar's recent affair with starlet Krista Miller had adverse effects on their daughters, especially as one of them witnessed Cesar receiving a photo of a bikini-clad Krista through text.

Although Sunshine’s request for a permanent protection order is already being heard by the court in addition to the existing temporary protection order that was already granted to her, she says that Cesar’s alleged refusal to let her see their children ultimately led her to take legal action.

“Bilang tatay siya ng mga anak ko, as much as possible, we want to protect the person. But since the 29th [of July], hindi ko na rin nakita ang mga anak ko. Hindi ko alam kung bakit 'ganun kaya I decided to do this already (As he is the father of my children, as much as possible, we want to protect the person. But I haven’t seen my children since the 29th of July. I don’t know why that happened, so I decided to do this already),” she was quoted as saying, adding that she will never allow herself to lose her children.

“Napakahirap sa akin kasi I’ve been a devoted wife and a mom to my children,” she continued. “Sinakripisyo ko nga lahat para sa mga anak ko tapos parang pusa ka na lang na tinanggalan ng mga kuting. Masakit sa akin ang mga nangyayari (It’s so difficult for me because I’ve been a devoted wife and a mom to my children. I sacrificed everything for my kids, only to be treated like a cat whose kittens are taken away from her. I find what’s happening painful.).”
