Sharon Cuneta says she can’t wait to have grandchildren, so she jokingly persuaded her daughter, KC Concepcion, to finally tie the knot and give her an apo.
“Anytime! Dyusko, kung meron lang ‘yang boyfriend, pipilitin ko ‘yan. 'Anak, penge ng apo. Mag-asawa ka na (Anytime! My god, if only she were in a relationship, I would really prod her to give me a grandchild. [I'd say] 'Give me a grandchild, go get married!)!'” the Megastar was quoted by PEP.ph as saying. Sharon also revealed that she's very fond of babies and that she couldn't wait to finally have a grandchild of her own.
“Yeah, I’ve been ready for a long time. She's the one that's not,” she said. “Coz I like babies... I had a baby early. It has its pluses and minuses. But one of the pluses is getting to grow up with your kid. I was 19 when I had her. Para ‘di masyadong malayo ‘yung generation gap (So that the generation gap won’t be too wide). And now, I think it's cool to be a lola (grandmother) before you hit 60 [years old]!”
The singer-actress understands, though, that KC is in no rush to settle down.
“She's just enjoying this time of her life. That’s the safest thing to say, and it’s true. She's not aiming for a commitment with anybody soon, because I think she has learned. I don’t think she'll want a complicated setup in a relationship... I don’t know what she'll decide to do. Whatever it is, I’ll support her.”
