Actress Sarah Lahbati says she and her Makapiling Kang Muli co-star Richard Gutierrez are just friends, even if there seems to be something sweeter brewing between them.

“Sa ngayon, we’re close friends and ine-enjoy lang namin ang company ng isa’t isa habang nagtatrabaho,” the GMA star said in an interview with PEP.ph during the Kapuso Fans Day in Legazpi, Albay. “We’re good friends. Hindi ako echoserang frog (Right now, we're close friends, and we're just enjoying each other's company while we're working. We're good friends. I'm not lying!)!”

However, the 18-year-old Moroccan-Filipina beauty also admitted that she and Richard have become a lot closer. “Of course, before this show, hindi ko naman talaga siya kilala. I only got to know him when I knew that I was going to be paired with him. Yeah, mas nakilala ko siya because every day magkasama kami sa work and some events (Of course, I didn't really know him personally before this show. I only got to know him when we got paired up. Yeah, I got to know him better because we were together every day at work and in some events.).”

She also shared that her parents okay with her having a boyfriend, and that her mom has already met Richard.“Natutuwa siya sa mga blessings na dumarating sa akin this year at sa amin ni Richard na magkapares kami ngayon (She's glad that I've been receiving a lot of blessings this year and that I and Richard are paired together right now.). She thinks that he’s a nice guy and he’s professional.”
