Choosing who gets to be part of YES! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful list doesn’t seem to get any easier each year. According to editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, months are spent on deliberation, long discussions and research to make sure that everyone who is included in the list deserves to be in it. This year, however, there was one name that kept popping up: Sarah Geronimo. “She’s at her prime!” says Jo-Ann who describes the triple-threat artist as “supremely talented” and “a good person.”

Despite being hailed as YES! Magazine’s Most Beautiful Star for 2014, Sarah is as humble as ever and profusely thanks the media for recognizing her, as well as her fellow artists', contributions to the industry. At the press conference held at Elements Events Place, Centris, the Pop Princess shared her thoughts on what she thinks makes a person beautiful.

“Para sa akin, ang nagpapaganda sa isang tao, pagka meron siyang peace sa puso niya, pagmamahal, genuine happiness, contentment, alam niya kung ano ang strengths niya, alam din niya kung ano ang weaknesses niya, pero dapat mag focus siya kung ano 'yung strengths niya, diba?” she says. “Pero dapat naka focus siya kung ano ang strength niya, kasi ‘yon ang talagang ibubuhat mo, diba, kung ano ang meron ka na wala ang iba.”

Sarah has had a long and illustrious career in showbiz, and despite the overwhelming media pressure, she remains grounded, grateful, and true to herself, and well, this is what makes her number one on our list!
