Actor Sam Milby has returned to the Philippines for local showbiz commitments, including a new teleserye in which he is rumored to be partnered with actress Judy Ann Santos. In an interview on The Buzz, Push.com.ph reports, Sam said he'd had several realizations about his career while doing auditions in the US.

"Lalo kong naa-appreciate ‘yung nangyayari sa buhay ko dito, sa career ko dito (It made me appreciate what's happened in my life and career here even more)," he is quoted as saying, citing that, in the Philippines, you no longer needed to audition for parts if you had already made a name for yourself. “But the (US) experience also, it was a confidence booster para sa akin. It is Hollywood." The star said that, so far, he has gotten positive feedback from his auditions.

He added that his stay in New York has reawakened his love for music. "I feel different. ‘Yung desire, ‘yung passion ko na gumaling sa craft, sa music, sa lahat, talagang gustung-gusto ko. This is what I want to do."

While Sam might be back in the country, he said he would be periodically going back to the US to attend more auditions and continue pursuing his Hollywood dream.
