Actor Sam Milby is leaving the Philippines tomorrow to try his luck in Hollywood, but before doing so, he had his last interview with The Buzz on January 29, PEP.ph reports. Among the topics TV host Boy Abunda brought up was Sam's past relationship with Anne Curtis and how he felt about Anne confessing he was her "last and most painful breakup."

Sam admitted he felt the same way about her. His biggest regret was that he wasn't "mature and man enough to be a leader" in their relationship. Nevertheless, he's learned some valuable lessons from their romance. "'Yun nga, to really step up and be a man. And I think, if you really love someone, you have to fight for it."

Proving that he and Anne are still friends, Sam even appeared as a special guest at her concert entitled Annebisyosa: No Other Concert on January 28. The two sang "Always Be My Baby" together.

While the experience was great, Sam wasn't afraid of saying yes when Boy asked him if there were moments when he felt like saying, "Ang ganda-ganda ng babaeng ito. (This girl is so beautiful.) What did I do?" after seeing Anne onstage.

"You know, you have to think about that—'What did I do wrong?'" he said. "Siyempre, hindi ako perpekto. I made a lot of mistakes, but you take everything that you do as a learning. It's all about [the] learning process."

Sam said he could see how happy Anne was with her current boyfriend, Erwan Heussaff, and he had similarly moved on despite remaining unattached. For now, his focus is on starting his career in the US, and he's excited about it. "There are things that you feel that you are called for," he said about his move. "It's a gut feel, and life is about taking risks."
