Blogger Saab Magalona revealed in a March 6 entry on spellsaab.com that she has given birth to her twins, and that one of them had died.
"On February 8, we lost our baby girl," she wrote.
She recounts how she has been in and out of the ICU in the last month, adding that she herself almost didn't make it.
Her baby boy—the other half of the twins—is still in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, fighting for his life.
"I've stayed silent because I think I've been in denial. I thought keeping it to ourselves would make this whole thing unreal," she says of her experience.
It can be recalled that Saab had to forego matron-of-honor duties at her sister Maxene's destination wedding to Rob Mananquil in Boracay in January because she wasn't allowed to travel anymore until she has given birth.
"We are taking it one day at a time, focusing on all the good things we are blessed with. I am still alive, I have a strong and loving husband, and God has shown us so many miracles through our little boy," she continues, while also thanking the people who have been there for her and husband Jim Bacarro.
"This whole time, we’ve been nervous about bringing children into this scary world and in an instant, our world was turned upside down. Despite this tragedy, we have encountered so many heroes and kind people.
"If you look hard enough, this doesn’t have to be such a scary world after all.
"I know we’ll make it through."
One of the people to send messages of support was, of course, Maxene. She first posted a baby pic of her and Saab with the caption, "Sending love to my baby sister (heart emoji)"
Her second post was a photo of them with their husbands, Jim and Rob, which was taken on her church wedding earlier this year. "We will always be here for you (heat emoji)," Maxene wrote.
