Saab Magalona has confirmed the mauling incident that occured last Saturday, May 31 at a bar in Capital Commons, PEP.ph reports. It happened at the private birthday celebration of singer Ely Buendia. According to Pia Guanio's Chika Minute report on GMA7's 24 Oras, the guy that supposedly hit Saab was a gatecrasher.
The gatecrashers allegedly started a commotion, and when things started to get messy, Saab was one of the people who tried to stop the fight. Upon doing this, "I was punched on the head several times by an intoxicated man," she accounts on her blog Spell Saab. Saab was to quick to act and filed a complaint and medico-legal in Barangay Kapitolyo.
Saab initially chose to remain mum about the incident, but on June 3, she broke her silence and posted tweets on her Twitter account:
Shortly, she posted her statetment on her blog detailing the incident from start to finish. She reiterated that she'll never tolerate violence, especially if done against women. She then said that she'd like to keep everything under wraps and let the justice system take over. She also thanked everyone for all the love, support, and concern.
