Rihanna has given a young design school graduate a big boost by wearing one of the latter's creations in her new video.
The 28-year-old singer dropped the promo for her latest single "This Is What You Came For" last week and it has now emerged that the outfit she wears throughout the video was designed by recent Pratt Institute graduate Isabel Hall, who once served as an intern for one of Rihanna‘s favorite designers, Adam Selman.
The star's stylist, Mel Ottenberg has revealed he attended the student’s fashion show and was so impressed with her designs, he contacted her when it came time to get Rihanna kitted out for the promo.
"Mel wanted to pull the jumpsuit for another project," Hall tells Complex. "He did whatever with it and I got it back, but then I got a text a few weeks later from Mel‘s assistant, saying, 'Hey, are you in town? We have something we really need the jumpsuit for.'"
"I didn’t find out until the next week what it was being used for. It happened really fast."
Meanwhile, Rihanna continues to make major fashion statements on the street, stepping out in London on Thursday night , wearing an oversized black T-shirt and thigh-high boots with the fur-lined tops folded over.
She completed her look with a classic Louis Vuitton box handbag and a gold choker.
The Umbrella singer is in Britain at the start of the European leg of her Anti tour. She started the trek in Ireland by leaving fans a little worried after arriving for her Dublin gig late and crying during a performance of Love the Way You Lie at the start of her set.
Rihanna has yet to comment on the emotional performance.
