News show 24 Oras aired TV host Pia Guanio's one-on-one interview with actress Rhian Ramos on December 7, her first in the aftermath of ex-boyfriend Mo Twister's video diary post, which went viral on YouTube. In the video, Mo said he and Rhian were in Singapore to get rid of their baby. PEP.ph reports that the actress was in tears as she recounted her past relationship with Mo and how she felt about the recent incident.
Rhian revealed that her loved ones were against her relationship with Mo from the start because of their large age gap (she was 16 and Mo was 29 when they first met) and his reputation (he has a child by another woman and is known for picking fights). "Hindi ako nakinig e. (I didn't listen.) Because I just really liked him, and I guess I was just being blind."
Once they became romantically involved, Rhian said she saw another side of Mo. "It's like he was a different person," she said, crying.
She attempted to breakup with him several times because of the "unhealthy" nature of their relationship, but every time she would try, he would lose his temper or threaten her. "I think the most painful time was when he outright told me that 'I promise to take everything you love away from you.' Yun ba yung love? Tatakutin ka ng tao? Ite-threaten ka? Sisirain ka? Para ano? Para sa kanya ka lang? (Is that love? When a person scares you? Threatens you? Ruins your reputation? For what? So that you'll only be his?)"
Rhian said she regrets her decision to stand by him and wishes she'd listened to her family. "I loved him very much. And I thought I was doing the right thing."
When Rhian found out about Mo's video diary through people's Tweets, she said she felt shocked and hurt. "I could not believe what I was seeing. I could not believe that he would say those things about me and make a video saying things like that about me."
The incident has prompted her to take a leave from showbiz. "I just need some time away to spend with my family."
Meanwhile, PEP.ph reports that Mo is currently in New York but will be back for Christmas for some commitments.
