Rhian Ramos held a fansign drive on November 14 (Thursday), through her Instagram account. The actress called it “Fansigns for a Cause,” and it involved posting a fansign in exchange for every P150 donation pledged by her fans to help super typhoon Yolanda victims.

“I’m really sorry.. this is awkward.. but for the sake of the #YolandaPH victims, every little effort counts... (BTW feel free to just donate any amount even if you dont want a fansign,” the caption read, as quoted by PEP.ph.

The actress revealed that actor-host Ryan Agoncillo was the first to make a donation.

“This is sooo embarassing but guess who donated first? Ryan dropped by sa bahay last night and bought 4 fansigns for him, Judai, Yohann and Lucho! Haha! Thank you so much for donating ♡ @thatsmytatayryan,” the actress posted.

However, the actress's fund-raising initiative didn't seem to sit well with some bashers.

Sana nga i so donate talaga nila yung pera... Sana Hindi ibulsa (I hope the money really gets donated),” a user named @dolero_janessa commented, according to PEP.ph (the account has already been deleted as of press time). The comment earned the ire of Rhian's followers, who quickly defended the actress.

“I will upload a full accounting next week when the country’s situation has improved a little bit. Cleaning my name isn’t really my priority at the moment, as there is still too much work to do. Those who care about brothers and sisters in Visayas should understand this. Thanks,” Rhian posted, as a response to those who seem to be questioning her fund-raising initiative.

PEP.ph reports that another basher (@aliosnki) had surfaced, but the comments, along with other posts, have already been deleted.

“Put words in your mouth? 'If you want to give, get it from your hard earned money. Don’t use this 'initiative' for show' You said that. You didn’t say that 'you hope' my initiative is not for show. Also, because you timing is impeccable, im gonna go ahead and assume that you found this on the classiest site in the world, fashion pulis.. in that case, you probably haven’t seen how I respond to respectable comments…yours not being in that category. Just because youre not a media personality, its not an excuse for you to have no speck of graciousness. I will respond rudely to the rude and kindly to the kind because I treat people with equality. But its time for me to learn from this and to use you as an example of why I should stop replying. Sadly, im wrong about equality. Cause you and I, we’re not equal. @aliosnki,” the actress was reported to have posted.
