Regine Velasquez is set to appear in ABS-CBN's variety program ASAP.

This was announced through a press release posted on the official Facebook page of The Filipino Channel-Australia on October 12.

According to the release, Asia's Songbird will join her husband Ogie Alcasid in the ASAP Live In Sydney show to be held on October 20 at the ICC Sydney Theatre.

The TFC press release indicated: "This marks the first time that the best-selling OPM artist of all time will be part of an ASAP live event overseas."

Regine used her official Twitter account to retweet the post of ASAP regarding her appearance in the show.

Regine's last guest appearance in ASAP happened in the late '90s, when she was not yet a part of GMA-7's defunct rival program SOP.

Aside from Regine, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are also expected to join ABS-CBN's international show.

For the past few months, rumors have been floating that Regine is bound to leave GMA-7 and sign up with ABS-CBN.

A previous report by PEP Alerts' PEP Troika column stated that Regine's first Kapamilya appearance will happen in an episode of ASAP.

Currently, Regine can still be seen in her Kapuso Saturday show Sarap Diva through taped episodes.

However, GMA-7 has been airing teasers of a show titled Sarap Di Ba? It will be hosted by Carmina Villarroel and her twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi. The show is said to be replacing Regine's morning show.

Amid all of these reports, Regine has yet to give an official confirmation regarding her TV network.

The 48-year-old actress is currently in the United States for a concert tour with Ogie.
