article_lucy-hale-bench.jpgBack in January, the Twitter world was abuzz with excitement after American actress Lucy Hale tweeted, "Hahah sorry. What I was going to say is I'm excited to announce that I'm now a part of the new @benchtm clothing campaign!" The 22-year-old, who plays Aria Montogomery on teen TV series Pretty Little Liars, then followed up her previous message with "And I will be visiting the Philippines in march :)".

Fortunately for Filipino fans, they didn't have to wait that long to meet their idol. Lucy came to Manila to headline a special HerBench fashion show on February 11. The actress will be fronting the campaign for the local label's new Americana-themed line. "It perfectly describes my style," Lucy said about the collection. Though Lucy admitted she employs a stylist to dress her up, she also pointed out that the fact that Pretty Little Liars is such a fashionable show helps. She added, "Luckily, I'm a girl; like every girl, I also love to shop!"

Aside from talking about fashion and style, Lucy also shared that she might try her hand at singing again. In 2003, Lucy was actually part of reality talent search American Juniors, where she placed in the top 10. When asked about her musical influences, she said, "Actually now, I love country music. I love Rihanna. I love Lady Gaga. I love everything." She also talked about the direction her musical career is likely to go in: "I don't know if there are country music fans here. I'm gonna do country, so I'm really excited."

Devoted Pretty Little Liars watchers will also be pleased to know that the second season's finale will be as thrilling as the first. At the event, Lucy divulged that the true identity of "A", the show's main antagonist, will finally be revealed. But Lucy assured fans that the show won't end with season 2. "We're coming back for the third season, and we'll start filming in April," she said.

After the short press conference, Lucy spent time signing autographs and posing for photos for excited audience members. The actress even received a special memento from her Manila visit: a sketch of Lucy made by a fan.
