I was ready to settle down in the States,” he was quoted by PEP.ph as saying.

Siguro pagod na rin, kasi half of my life, ito na ang ginagawa ko. One of the reasons why is because I wanted to devote more time sa anak ko [Iñigo]. One of the reasons why is because I wanted to devote more time to my son [Iñigo], so that I can give him more time, physically, before he grows up. He further revealed that his latest movie with Toni Gonzaga, Starting Over Again, could've been his last.

I'm so at peace knowing that this could be my swan song, this could be my last,” Piolo said.

However, Piolo was quick to add that he's not quitting showbiz just yet, as it seems the ABS-CBN management has different plans for him.

I thought kaya kong tuldukan, hindi pa pala. Bahala na ang Diyos, bahala na ang ABS-CBN. Happy ako, sobra (I thought I could put an end to my showbiz career now, but I'm letting God and ABS-CBN take charge. I'm really happy.).”
