How would the local showbiz industry be like without Piolo Pascual around?
Fortunately for us, we don't need to wonder about that for now. In a recent interview with PEP.ph, Kapamilya hunk Piolo Pascual said that he was ready to say goodbye to show business so he can settle down and spend more time with his son in the US.
“I was ready to settle down in the States,” he was quoted by PEP.ph as saying.
“Siguro pagod na rin, kasi half of my life, ito na ang ginagawa ko. One of the reasons why is because I wanted to devote more time sa anak ko [Iñigo]. Para bago man lang maging adult ang bata, I can give him more time physically. That's one of the factors and parang gusto ko rin naman magpahinga, so iyon (I'm probably tired, since I've been doing this half of my life. One of the reasons why is because I wanted to devote more time to my son [Iñigo], so that I can give him more time, physically, before he grows up. That's one of the factors, and I also want to rest, so there)...” the actor explained.
He further revealed that his latest movie with Toni Gonzaga, Starting Over Again, could've been his last.
“I'm so at peace knowing that this could be my swan song, this could be my last,” Piolo said.
However, Piolo was quick to add that he's not quitting showbiz just yet, as it seems the ABS-CBN management has different plans for him.
“I thought kaya kong tuldukan, hindi pa pala. Bahala na ang Diyos, bahala na ang ABS-CBN. Happy ako, sobra (I thought I could put an end to my showbiz career now, but I'm letting God and ABS-CBN take charge. I'm really happy.).”
