Beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Megan Young are happy with the recent victories of the Philippines in the international pageant scene.
In two days, two Filipinas were crowned beauty queens in the respective pageants they joined.
On November 4, Karen Ibasco was hailed as Miss Earth 2017 during its coronation night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
And very soon after, on November 5 (Manila time), Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2017.
Winwyn made history as the first Filipina to join the pageant, and first Asian to win the crown. The pageant was held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia (November 4, Bolivia time).
Pia, who won the Miss Universe title in 2015, is proud that the Philippines managed to bring home the crown in two consecutive days.
She wrote, "Everyday may crown ang Philippines! Congratulations!!"
