Pia Guanio has delivered her first child with her husband, businessman Steve Mago, on the morning of August 31. According to an article by PEP.ph, Pia gave birth to a baby girl, whom the couple have named Scarlet Jenine via Caesarian section.

The Eat Bulaga! host, who had taken a leave from the show to prepare for her delivery, then turned to Twitter to announce the good news. “At 12:55 am today, Scarlet Jenine was born. Heavy at 7.8 pounds and tall at 20 inches! Thank you Lord for the wonderful gift in our lives!” she posted.

Earlier, Pia also used the site to thank everyone who prayed for the well-being of her and her child. “And thanks to everyone else who tweeted their good intentions, wishes and prayers! God bless you too!” read another tweet.

Pia was exactly on her 39th week of pregnancy when she gave birth. She had earlier expressed her relief at having a relatively easy pregnancy. “Nothing, zero complications, so I think I’m definitely getting a thumbs up and full support from the Guy Upstairs for this pregnancy because it’s running really smoothly,” she was quoted as saying in an earlier article by PEP.ph.
