Like his ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin, Phil Younghusband has also taken to social media to air his side on their recent split.

PEP.ph reports that the Azkals player had echoed Angel's statement that their breakup was a mutual decision via an Instagram post on October 27.

"Neither of us regret the time we spent together, we enjoyed each others [sic] company and really made the most of it," he wrote. "...it was not an issue of who did or didnt do something, it was a mutual decision and although it was difficult we just both felt that this would be the best thing to do given our circumstances," read part of the post's caption.

The Filipino-British football player added that he has kept his friendship with the Kapamilya actress.

"Although we have parted as a couple, we are thankful that we remain friends and we only wish the best for each other. Thank you very much for your support," he said.
