Ogie Alcasid says he and his wife Regine Velasquez are planning to have their second baby this year.

"We are trying to work on a baby this year. Mas magiging mahirap kung papatagalin pa namin because of our age (It would be more difficult if we delay it because of our age)," Ogie was quoted by ABS-CBNNews.com as saying on the Sunday talk show The Buzz.

Ogie and Regine already have a baby boy, Nathaniel, who was born on November 11, 2011.

In an earlier interview, Ogie has expressed his willingness to stand by Regine if she ever gets pregnant again.

“Being a mom at her age is not as easy,” he had said. "So, aalalayan ko siya every step of the way. Pero nakikita ko sa mga mata ng asawa ko na gusto niya ng isa pa. So, God-willing, kung pagpalain tayo at bigyan ng isa pa, so let’s go (So, I’ll support her every step of the way. But I can see in my wife’s eyes that she really wants another child. So, God-willing, if we will be blessed with another, so let’s go!)!”
