Nikki Gil and Billy Crawford may have gone through a nasty breakup last year, but Nikki is not one to dwell on the past.
“If anything, that whole chapter of my life, 'yung recovery 'nun is very fast... I didn’t spend much time wallowing in whatever negative energy that it entailed... I have made that decision to close that chapter of my life and start anew,” she was quoted by PEP.ph as saying.
In fact, the actress herself revealed that she's already back in the dating game, as she's currently seeing a 29-year-old guy who also graduated from Ateneo de Manila University.
“It’s just nice that that there’s something sentimental about history. We have a lot of common friends, but we never crossed paths. ”
Nikki adds that she never went through a bitter phase following her much-publicized breakup with Billy.
“I never said, ‘Pagpapahingahin ko muna 'yung puso ko.’ Wala, hindi ko pinagdaanan 'yun. Not everyone is like that. Hindi lahat ng relasyon uuwi sa iyakan or sa sakit. (I never said that I needed to take a break. I didn't go through that phase. Not everyone is like that. Not all relationships end up in heartbreak.).”
When asked about Billy's decision to court his fellow It's Showtime co-host Coleen Garcia, Nikki simply said that her ex's love life is no longer her concern.
“Ay, matagal ko nang alam 'yun (I already knew about it back then.). It’s none of my business at this point,” she said.
