Through the years, we’ve seen Neri Naig-Miranda slowly build her own empire. From selling her gourmet tuyo products with a starting capital of P3,000 to establishing a slew of other successful businesses, including her own line of wedding gowns, a bakeshop, and now, her very own hair salon as well!
However, the former actress revealed that her newest business venture wasn’t exactly planned. In fact, she only decided to buy the failing salon so its employees would be able to keep their jobs.
“Planado ba na magkaroon ako ng salon? Hindi po. Inalok lang po sa akin itong existing salon dahil mag-iibang bansa na po ang may-ari,” she shared on her Instagram account. “Kinuwento sa akin ng staff na binebenta na talaga ang salon at sana ako raw ang makabili para may trabaho pa rin sila.”
Despite the unexpected business transaction, Neri stayed true to her moniker “wais na misis” by making sure to keep her salon running smoothly, and it seems like her good efforts are paying off! In a Facebook post shared by her husband Chito Miranda, he revealed that the salon was crowded with patrons and customers on its opening night.
“Naalala ko na ngayon pala yung opening ng bagong salon ni Neri. Dumaan ako para silipin, at nagulat ako kasi ang dami agad customers at ang ganda ganda ng lugar."
It might only be another business added to Neri’s stacked resume, but it was truly life-changing for the employees whom she helped keep afloat. May you become an inspiration to millions of Filipinas and entrepreneurs, Neri!
